“Let’s Add Online To Monster Hunter 3DS!”, a Capcom board meeting comic by SwiftSketcher.
As predicted, when Monster Hunter Tri-G releases in Japan this December, the 3DS game will not have online multiplayer — just local hunting, I’m afraid, like all the other portable versions of the series. The online features are limited to downloadable quests.
You could always hold onto hope that Capcom (or Nintendo, if it assists with publishing) might decide to bring the game to America and add online multiplayer. But I’m sure you’ll eventually put aside that hope and let it sit on the shelf, gathering dust with other dreams like U.S. releases for Game Center CX 2 and Afterschool Boy.
